Full Match Schedule & Format of the 2026 T20 World Cup
The 2026 T20 World Cup will get underway on February 7 in India and Sri Lanka, with the final scheduled for March 8.
This will be the 10th edition of the tournament and will feature 20 teams playing 54 matches across the two host countries.
India are the defending champions, having beaten South Africa in the 2024 final in Barbados.

The format remains unchanged from the previous edition, with group stages followed by the Super 8s and knockouts.

There was a late change to the lineup. Bangladesh were removed from the competition after refusing to travel to India due to security concerns. Scotland replaced Bangladesh following an ICC decision.

The T20 World Cup will be played in 3 phases.
- Group Stage: Top two teams from each group qualify
- Super 8: Eight teams split into two groups
- Knockouts: Two semifinals and the final
