FIFA World Cup 2026: Full Schedule, Venues, Groups, FAQs & More

FIFA has released the full schedule, venues and kick-off times for the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will run from June 11 to July 19 across the United States, Canada and Mexico. The tournament will be the biggest in World Cup history, featuring 48 teams and 104 matches across 16 stadiums.

The opening match will see Mexico face South Africa. Defending champions Argentina will open their campaign against Algeria.

A total of 78 matches will be played in the United States, with 13 each in Mexico and Canada. The final will be held at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The kickoff slots are designed to suit global audiences, with prime-time viewing at 9 p.m. CET in Europe and 8 p.m. GMT in the UK.

The World Cup will open with a group stage of 12 groups, followed by 4 knockout rounds. Unlike previous editions, the knockouts will start with a round of 32.
