IPL 2026: Full List of Captains, Coaches and Support Staff
The IPL 2026 season is set to begin on March 28, with defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
All 10 franchises have finalised their backroom staff. Teams have combined experienced international coaches with former players across different roles.

For the first time in IPL history, all 10 teams will be led by Indian captains at the start of the season. Sunrisers Hyderabad are the only team where Ishan Kishan will lead as a temporary captain, with Pat Cummins set to take over once he recovers from injury. Except Rajat Patidar (RCB), Hardik Pandya (with GT) and Shreyas Iyer (with KKR), no other current captain has won the IPL title while leading a side.
Top coaches in IPL 2026 include names like Andy Flower (RCB), Stephen Fleming (CSK), Mahela Jayawardene (MI) and Ashish Nehra (GT). These four are the only head coaches to have won the IPL title with their respective teams in the past.
