IPL 2026 Auction: Full Overseas Player List, By Country
With the IPL 2026 Auction set for December 16 in Abu Dhabi, overseas players will once again dominate discussions and price tags. This will be the 19th IPL auction and history shows that foreign players often command the highest bids.

Over the previous 18 editions, overseas players have been the most expensive buy 10 times. In the last decade alone, this has happened 7 times. Overseas players have been the most expensive picks, 3 times in the last 5 auctions.
In the 18 IPL auctions conducted so far, Australia and England have produced 8 of those record-breaking signings, while only Chris Morris (2021) and the Shane BondโKieron Pollard duo (2010) have topped auctions from other nations.
Ben Stokes is the only overseas player to have been picked for the highest price at two consecutive IPL auctions. In 2017, Rising Pune Supergiant picked him at โน14.5 crore. And then in 2018, Rajasthan Royals picked the England allrounder at โน12.5 crore. The only other player is Yuvraj Singh, in 2014 and 2015.
The most recent overseas player to break the bank was Mitchell Starc, whom KKR signed for โน24.75 crore in 2024, a record at the time. Ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, there has been a lot of chatter around another Australian, Cameron Green.
