T20 World Cup Hundreds: Full List of Centurions Country-wise

The T20 World Cup may have a history of less than two decades, but it has already produced several iconic batting performances.

Across 9 previous editions, 6 teams have lifted the trophy. India, England and West Indies have won the title twice, while Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Australia have won it once each.

During this period, many batting records have shaped the tournament’s legacy. New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum still holds the highest individual score in T20 World Cups with 123 runs from 58 balls at a strike rate of 212.06 in 2012. West Indies legend Chris Gayle owns multiple centuries and most sixes records. The Universe Boss is also the only player with two T20 World Cup hundreds.

India’s Yuvraj Singh produced another historic moment when he smashed a 12-ball fifty in 2007, which remains the fastest half-century in the tournament. The 2026 edition has already witnessed 4 centuries, more than any previous edition. No edition in the past saw more than 2 hundreds. Canada’s Yuvraj Samra recently became the youngest centurion in T20 World Cup history.

Despite being the most successful team in ICC tournaments, Australia still has no T20 World Cup centurion.

Below is the complete list of T20 World Cup centurions country-wise, including their match statistics.

T20 World Cup Centurions Country-wise

India (IND)

Suresh Raina scored 101 runs from 60 balls against South Africa at Gros Islet in 2010, striking at 168.33. Raina remains India’s only T20 World Cup centurion till date. Rohit Sharma is the second-highest with 92 runs vs Australia in 2024.

Pakistan (PAK)

Ahmed Shezad scored 111* off 62 balls against Bangladesh in Mirpur in 2014 with a strike rate of 179.03. Sahibzada Farhan scored 100* off 58 balls against Namibia in Colombo in 2026, maintaining a strike rate of 172.41.

Farhan scored his second century (100 off 60) against Sri Lanka, becoming the only player with two tons in a single T20 WC edition.

New Zealand (NZ) – Fastest T20 World Cup Hundred

Brendon McCullum blasted 123 from 58 balls against Bangladesh in Pallekele in 2012 at a strike rate of 212.06. Glenn Phillips scored 104 from 64 balls against Sri Lanka in Sydney in 2022, striking at 162.50.

Harry Brook recently scored 100 from 51 balls against Pakistan in Pallekele during the 2026 edition at a strike rate of 196.07, becoming the joint-second fastest centurion at the men’s T20 World Cup.

He also became the first-ever captain to score a century in the tournament. The previous highest score was 98 by Chris Gayle vs India in the 2010 edition.

Sri Lanka (SL)

He added another century in 2016, scoring 100* off 48 balls against England in Mumbai at a strike rate of 208.33, which is also the fastest T20 World Cup hundred (47 balls) till date.

Interestingly, in both these knocks he maintained a strike rate of over 200 and hit 10 or more sixes, something no other T20 World Cup centurion has done.

Bangladesh (BAN)

Tamim Iqbal scored 103* off 63 balls against Oman in Dharamsala in 2016 with a strike rate of 163.49. He opened in that match and played out the full 20 overs hitting 10 fours and 5 sixes.

Out of these 16 centuries, only 4 have come while the team was chasing. Those hundreds were scored by Alex Hales, Chris Gayle (in 2016), Pathum Nissanka and Harry Brook.

No team other than the West Indies has won the T20 World Cup when one of its players scored a century in that edition (Chris Gayle in 2016).
